Trade

2003: The Sidekicks completed a 7 player trade with La Furia de Monterrey today. The following players selected by Dallas in the Harrisburg Heat dispersal draft on July 28, 2003 were sent to La Furia: Martin Hernandez and Marco Lopez . The Sidekicks received in return the following players La Furia selected in the 2003 Expansion Draft on July 21, 2003: Sinisa Alebic, Kiley Couch, Martin Dugas, Martin Nash, and Ryan Trout.

 

New Alignment

2014: The MASL announced the alignment for its 23 member clubs today. Dallas was placed in the Southern Division with Hidalgo, Brownsville, Texas, Monterrey, and Saltillo.

Lawsuit Settled

2003: The Sidekicks settled their logo trademark infringement lawsuit with the Arena Football League's Dallas Desperados. The Desperados will change their logo, but terms were not officially disclosed by either team.

 

Coaching Move

1986: Keith Weller was named Assistant Coach. He replaced Charlie Cooke, who resigned on June 18, 1986 to become Wichita's Head Coach. Weller left the Sidekicks on August 25, 1988 when his contract was not renewed by then-Sidekicks Team President David Shuttee.
