How He Got Here/Draft Notice

Alebic was one of 7 players traded between Dallas and Monterrey on July 29, 2003, after La Furia de Monterrey selected Alebic in their MISL Expansion Draft from the Milwaukee Wave.  Alebic signed a contract with the Sidekicks on August 26, 2003.

Alebic injured a calf muscle during practice and missed 3 games early in the 2003-04 season.

Not Welcome in Mexico

Alebic was prevented from boarding the plane the Sidekicks were taking to fly to their first match in Monterrey. Mexican imigration authorities would not allow him into the country because of his Croatian citizenship. He was also not allowed to travel with the team on the other two trips to Monterrey.

• Blocked 4 shots, took two of his own, and committed three fouls vs. La Furia on Opening Night.
• Scored two goals, one of them a 6^th Attacker goal, on four shots, while blocking three others vs. La Furia on October 5, 2003.

• Assisted on one goal at St. Louis on November 22.
• Scored one goal vs. St. Louis on November 29.
• Scored one goal at Kansas City on New Year's Eve.
• Scored one goal on three shots, and blocked 2 others at Baltimore on January 10, 2004.
• Scored one goal vs. Baltimore on January 24.
• Earned one assist vs. Milwaukee on February 20.
• Scored the Game Winning Goal vs. La Furia on March 5.
• Scored a restart goal vs. Milwaukee on March 21.
