Dallas Sidekicks Players

#6 Sinisa Alebic

Where Did He Go?

After the original Sidekicks folded, Alebic was drafted by the St. Louis Steamers. He was eventually traded to Milwaukee, where he finished his pro career.

Alebic currently works in Chicago as a youth soccer coach.

M*A*S*H*ed

Alebic injured a calf muscle during practice and missed 3 games early in the 2003-04 season.

Not Welcome in Mexico

Alebic was prevented from boarding the plane the Sidekicks were taking to fly to their first match in Monterrey. Mexican imigration authorities would not allow him into the country because of his Croatian citizenship. He was also not allowed to travel with the team on the other two trips to Monterrey.

Trade Bait

Alebic was one of 7 players traded between Dallas and Monterrey on July 29, 2003, after La Furia de Monterrey selected Alebic in their MISL Expansion Draft from the Milwaukee Wave.  Alebic signed a contract with the Sidekicks on August 26, 2003.
