Beau Brown is a staff coach for the Sting girls soccer team in Dallas.

 

Divided Loyalties

Brown played half of the summer of 1998 with the Lafayette Swampcats of the Eastern Indoor Soccer League (a Division II Indoor league that played a short early summer schedule).

Brown was drafted by the Utah Freezz in their 1999 expansion draft.

Brown was then drafted by the Cleveland Crunch with the first overall selection in the 2002 Dispersal Draft. Brown did not report to Cleveland before the end of the 2001-02 season.

 

Trade Bait

Brown's rights returned to the Sidekicks on September 27, 2002 as a result of a three team trade between Dallas, Harrisburg, and Cleveland. While the Sidekicks announced he would return after completing his college degree in December of 2002, he did not report to Dallas during the 2002-03 season.
