Dallas Sidekicks Players

#20 Jeff Betts

Where Did He Go?

Betts left the Sidekicks on 2/6/2003 for what the team called "personal reasons." He was placed on the suspended list on the same day.

Betts lives in Washington state with his wife and son.

Deja Vu?

Betts played in a Dallas uniform against "Mexico" on July 25, 1998 as a "guest player." That match is now considered an exhibition for the purposes of the Sidekicks records (two sets of standings were kept in the PSA that season: overall record and games against PSA member clubs).

How He Got Here

Betts signed with Dallas as a free agent after the Utah Freezz folded, but the signing was nullified after the Sidekicks joined the new-MISL by Commissioner Steve Ryan. Betts was considered to be the Sidekicks first round selection (4th overall) in a dispersal draft of Utah and Sacramento players. He signed a contract to play with the Sidekicks on November 14, 2002.
