• 1987: Willie Molano scored his first two goals and earned his first assist as a Sidekick.

Did you know?

• 1986: The Sidekicks reached the .500 mark (equal number of wins and losses) for the 20th time this season. They were not at .500 at any point of the 1984-85 campaign.

• 1987: The Sidekicks beat the Chicago Sting while having only 11 field players and a goalkeeper on the bench.

Club Fined

• 1989: The MISL fined the Sidekicks $75,000 for the Sidekicks' failure to reach Kansas City after an ice storm cancelled the team's flight from D/FW Airport to Kansas City on March 5.
  
  • The fine was levied in three parts: $25,000 each to Chairman of the Board Stan Finney, Team President Gordon Jago, and to the club in general.
    
    • An appeal logged by the Sidekicks reduced the total fine to $25,000.
