Coaches' Confidence

Louie has more MISL and indoor experience than any player we have...His record speaks for itself. He's a tremendous goal scorer, and he's a very, very exciting player to watch. I think his experience will help all of us....

-then head coach Gordon Jago to the Dallas Morning News on August 16, 1986 about Nanchoff's potential impact on the Sidekicks' upcoming second season.

Where Did He Go?

Nanchoff's contract was sold to the St. Louis Steamers after new ownership took over the Sidekicks in July of 1986. His contract required that his salary be guaranteed if the club changed ownership, something that Sidekicks management said "...not even Tatu has."

Louie Nanchoff is currently the Boys Director for the Internationals (youth) Soccer Club in the Cleveland, Ohio area.
