Signed as a Free Agent on October 2, 1984.
Evans was named All-American in 1982 while at El Camino Junior College.
Evans trained with the United States Olympic soccer team prior to joining the Sidekicks. He was dropped when the decision was made to use profesional players during the Los Angeles Games.

Evans moved on to Wichita where he played for the 1986-87 and 1987-88 season. He also played outdoors for the L.A. Heat (Western Soccer League in 1989 and 1990, and indoors briefly for the Milwaukee Wave (NPSL) in 1991. He finished his pro career playing for the Los Angeles United during the 1993 season.
Evans lives with his wife and two children in California.
