• 1978: The Cleveland Force, Pittsburgh Spirit, and Houston Summitt (who were to become the Baltimore Blast) were founded as a Charter member of the MISL.

Training Camp

• 1987: The first set of "two-a-day" workouts saw the Sidekicks doing arobics with assistant coach Keith Weller's wife in the morning and running exorcises in the afternoon.
