1986:Krys Sobieski's wife, Ewa, and his
two children returned to Dallas on this date almost two months after the then-Communist
government of Poland had prevented them from going home to the Metroplex.
The Polish government
tried to force Sobieski to return to the country of his birth in a dispute
over transfer fees Poland believed it should have been paid by both of
Sobieski's former clubs, Pittsburgh
and Cleveland.
