General Manager Ron Adkins announced that with one more day left before then-owner
Don Carter's deadline to have an agreement in place to sell the franchise
or the Sidekicks would fold, there were no written proposals presented to
him. He told the Dallas Morning News that there were 3 groups that were negociating
to buy the franchise, and one of them had preented an oral proposal. Adkins
remained confident that the sale would happen.
