Future Opponents

• 1992: An indoor soccer franchise to replace the recently folded Baltimore Blast was founded on this date by Baltimore businessman TC Bill Stealey and former Blast head coach Kenny Cooper.
  • The club was awarded membership in the National Professional Soccer League on July 20, 1992.
  • The club announced the nickname Baltimore Spirit on July 27, 1992.
  • The Spirit changed their name to the Baltimore Blast on June 30, 1998.
