Moving Forward

• 1992: Owner Don Carter instructed head coach Gordon Jago and general manger Ish Haley to report to him around July 20 on what the Sidekicks options for "competitive play" would be for the future.

League Meetings

• 1988: The MISL Board of Governors met in Cleveland along with MISL Players Association director John Kerr to discuss the future of the sport as 5 teams ceased operations after the end of the 1987-88 season.

Draft Day

• 1989: The Los Angeles Lazers dispersal draft took place on this date.

  This may give us the opportunity to do some things that could be more beneficial and bring about some stability and more interest to the sport.
