• 1987: The following playoff team records were set at Baltimore on this date:
  • Dallas scored 5 goals in the 4th quarter.
    • This broke the record for most goals in a quarter (3) set May 9, 1987 at Baltimore.
      
  • Dallas and Baltimore took a combined 84 shots-on-goal.
    • This broke the previous record of 82 set May 17, 1987 vs. Baltimore
      • The current record is 141, set September 17, 1994 vs. Washington.
  • Dallas and Baltimore took a combined 26 shots in the 4th quarter.
    • This broke the previous record of 24 set set May 9, 1987 at Baltimore.

Honor Roll

• 1986: Tatu was named to the 2nd Team, all-MISL.
  • Krys Sobieski and Victor Moreland were named Honorable Mention, all-MISL.

Always Remember the First Time

• 1987: The Sidekicks won a playoff series for the first time.
• 2001: The Sidekicks announced that they would open the 2001 season at the American Airlines Center, meaning that indoor soccer would be the first sporting event played at the newly constructed sports arena.

They Said It

• 1987: Everyone wrote us off. They wrote us off in Baltimore and even in our own city. This is the greatest night for the Dallas franchise ever. We just kept coming back.

  --Sidekicks head coach Gordon Jago on the Sidekicks winning their first ever Playoff series.

   

  This win did a lot. Our fans unfortunately gave up on us. They thought (after we lost last Friday and only 5,149 attended Sunday's game) that we were through, but we came back.
