1986: Jim Graham announced his group had an agreement "in principle" to purchase the Sidekicks from then-owner Donald Carter and that if all parties agree, the deal would be announced Monday June 9. "We've come to a verbal agreement," Graham told the Dallas Morning News, "...and if all parties agree (the deal will be signed)...."

1989: Joe Papeleo injured suffered a knee injury during a pickup basketball game. The injury would require arthroscopic surgery, which was performed by team physician Dr. Howard Moore at the Baylor Medical Center.
