Franchise Birthday #1

• 1983: The official history of the MISL reports that a franchise would be awarded to Dallas for the 1984-85 season.
  • The franchise that was actually bought was the bankrupt New Jersey Rockets.
    • Due to complications in U.S. Bankrupcy Court, the purchase would not be completed until January 9, 1984.
