Best Left Forgotten...

1989: The smallest crowd since the inaugural season (and 5th worst in team history) not only watched Dallas have a goal disallowed by a handball foul, it was also their 6th foul of the 2nd quarter, giving Tacoma a powerplay. The Stars scored on that powerplay, giving them the 1-0 win.

Credit Where It's Due

The quote and the notation about the Kansas City uniform problem appear courtesty of Kansas City indoor soccer historian Brian Holland and his Facebook site "Hot Winter Nights"

Birthday

1969: Curtis Partain

He Said It

1990:

I could be critical of the guys for giving up a goal like that, but he does it to everybody.

--Kansas City coach Dave Clements on Tatu scoring a goal from 25 feet away from the goal line.

Uniform Trouble

1990: The Comets were forced to wear their white home uniforms for both this game and their next match in Wichita because their road blues got scorched at the cleaners.

Regular Season Games

Did You Know?

There have been only 8 games in the history of professional indoor soccer that have ended with a score of 1-0 (7 regular season games and 1 playoff match). Dallas has been involved in three of them: losing in 1989 and winning in 2004 while losing in Game 7 of the MISL Western Division Finals to San Diego in 1990.
