• 1987: Tatu was presented the Most Valuable Player award from the MISL at a Sidekicks dinner kicking off the MISL Championship Series' visit to Dallas.
  • He became the 5th player in the 9 seasons up to that point to win the MVP award.

Sidekicks Sale

• 1986: The investment group that would eventually become the Sidekicks I, Ltd ownership group announced that they had raised half of the $1 million needed to purchase the club from Don Carter.
  • Jim Graham, leading the group, said that the group should know by the first week of July if they will have the $1 million to $1.2 million needed to complete the deal.
